What is a heat exchanger

What is a heat exchanger

Heat exchangers connect two fluids, one that warms, the other that cools. The simplest definition of a heat exchanger requests that you indicate what are the two processes it matches. The design of the heat exchanger can then be achieved if you choose what are the constraints on the flow rates and temperatures that are set (eg minimum pinch, set effectiveness).
